ECLOF Myanmar, and Livelihoods and Food Security Trust Fund (LIFT) recently entered into a partnership to reduce extreme poverty and hunger in Myanmar. The partnership was aimed at helping vulnerable and marginalized poor people secure their daily access to food.

The joint venture will also focus on aspects of giving support to rural areas, specifically to agriculture, and building sustainable livelihoods.

LIFT is a multi-donor fund of $100 million for the poorest and most vulnerable people in Myanmar. It is governed by a donor consortium including Australia, the European Union, the Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

ECLOF International is a microfinance organization that has been active since 1946, having a presence in 21 countries across Asia, Latin America, and Africa. As an ecumenical microfinance organization, it reaches out to rural areas that traditionally have not benefited from microfinance as it has developed over the past several decades.
